Trip to Tana Toraja

Hmm karena temen chatting gue kepengen ikutan baca blog gue, terutama kalo gue posting mengenai tempat-tempat wisata, dan dia gak ngerti bahasa Indonesia, jadi gue akan menulis postingan gue kali ini dalam bahasa Inggris.

Last year, around October or November, my mom, dad, and one of my little brother (the youngest one) went to Tana Toraja, about 130 km’s from Makassar (Ujung Pandang), South Sulawesi (if you still don’t get where the location is, open an atlas). They were there for 3-4 days. Too bad I couldn’t join them because I was in Jakarta. But my dad took some pictures (a lot of picture, I must say) when they were there. Seeing those pictures, just make me even more upset because I wasn’t there. So here are some of the pictures my dad took.

This is the traditional house of Tana Toraja. It is called Tongkonan (figure out how to spell it by yourself, my friend :P ). Well, I guess this house has been redecorated because it looks a bit different with the original ones. Or should I say it’s a civil’s house (look at the truck and the house beside it).

This is the original Tongkonan. I got this from googling. So this isn’t captured by my dad.

Next picture is… a cemetery (?). Since I wasn’t there I couldn’t tell what it is (ughhh). Will ask my dad, though. But yeah I guess it’s a cemetery.

I don’t know what this picture is. A hole on a mountain side and there was somethin in it. Will surely ask my dad about this.

And here are some beautiful view my dad took.

This is my mom and dad.

And this is my little brother, Vincent. Ahh…so cute…missing him so much! Oh on the first picture, I thought it was a real old man! It is not. It’s just a sculpture.

And the last one, this is my dad and my little brother. Aren’t they look alike? hahaha.

Seeing those, I swear I will definitely go there, when I have time anyway.

Wisma Maria: 110 ribuan, pake air hangat.
Rental kendaraan roda dua (silahkan hubungi Adhi n.b. photography Jl. Andi Mappayuki Rantepao).
Guider banyak kok. Rental kendaraan roda 4 sebaiknya dari Makassar. Ada Tiga putri (Jl. Batua Raya), Astra Rent A Car (Jl. Racing Centre) atau Adira Rent (Jl. Pengayoman, dekat Panakkukang Mall) :-)

    Semoga membantu :)
